Background and Experience

Peter was born and brought up in Cardiff. He retired in 2008 after having spent 43 years in the Civil Service. Just prior to retirement he had been the Programme Manager for the £2 billion national roll out of Jobcentre Plus and Head of Business Design for Jobcentre Plus.

Currently Peter is:

  1. Chair of the Bro Môn Board of Directors;
  2. Company Secretary and a Director of Llangefni Social Enterprise with responsibility for the Town Market and for the Urban Sports Park at Plas Arthur, which he successfully managed the entire project and wrote the bids that raised £400k in funding from the Big Lottery and Anglesey Charitable Trust;
  3. Trustee on the Anglesey Column Trust, working with the Board to raise circa £1m to restore and renovate the Column;
  4. Director and the General Manager of Llangefni Town Football Club, working on a plan to redevelop the Cae Bob Parry stadium at a cost of circa £500k;
  5. running SiniMôn;
  6. A member of the Anglesey Partnership that approves expenditure on Menter Môn’s LEADER programme;
  7. very proud to be Vice Chair of the Governors at Canolfan Addysg Y Bont, Llangefni.
